AI phone calls
Calls it takes, and calls it makes.
The phone capabilities cover both directions — calls that come to you and calls the agent places — plus everything that makes a call useful afterwards: a transcript, a classified outcome, and the fields you asked to be captured.
Good evening, Harbour Dental. This call is handled by an AI assistant and may be recorded — how can I help?
Hi — I chipped a tooth and I'm in a lot of pain. Can someone see me tomorrow?

The transcript builds while the call is happening. The fields underneath are the ones you chose — they export as columns.
Or just ask for it
You don’t have to sit and watch the call.
Start it, steer it, read the outcome — from wherever you already are.

- 24/7 inbound answering
- An inbound call resolves the dialled number to your workspace, to the voice channel, to the agent bound to it, before the first word is spoken. Several numbers can run several agents without crossing.
- Outbound AI calls
- The agent places calls as well as receiving them, on your own numbers, with the same conversation quality in both directions.
- Answering-machine detection
- Machine greetings are recognised by fixed rules over the transcript rather than by a model judgement, so the same greeting always produces the same decision.
- Voicemail drop in your own voice
- When a call reaches a machine, a recording you made plays back exactly as recorded. There is no text-to-speech step between your voice and the person hearing it.
- Live transcripts
- The transcript builds line by line in the shared inbox while the call is happening, so you can look in on a call in progress rather than reading about it afterwards.
- Call recordings
- Every call keeps its recording against the contact, alongside the transcript and the captured fields.
- AI call summaries
- A one-line outcome per call, so a list of forty calls can be read without opening any of them.
- Thirteen call outcomes
- Answered by a human, voicemail, no answer, busy, disconnected, unreachable, wrong person, hung up early, reached an IVR, and more. Retry policies name which of those are worth another attempt, so nobody is rung back for declining.
- Typed data extraction
- Up to twenty fields per campaign, each with a type, and a field can be a fixed set of allowed values. The fields become the columns of the CSV export.
- Mid-call ask-a-human
- The agent can stop and put a question on your dashboard while the caller is still on the line. Your answer is injected into the live conversation.
- Live steering & instruction injection
- Send the agent an instruction mid-call without hanging up and starting again. The instruction lands in the live context.
- Join and listen
- Join a call in progress to hear what is happening, or take it over when a person finally answers.
- DTMF, mute and hangup controls
- Direct control of the live call from the dashboard — send tones, mute, or end it.
- Multi-call comparison sessions
- Several calls run as one session with their answers compared side by side and ranked — quotes, prices, availability — rather than as unrelated calls you reconcile by hand.
- Call simulator with real IVR trees
- Menu trees of different depths asking for different identifiers, so navigation is exercised against switchboards that disagree with each other rather than against one happy path.
- Realtime speech-to-speech voices
- Speech-to-speech models for conversation that does not have the round-trip pause of transcribe-then-speak.
- Pluggable voices & transcription
- Voice and transcription providers are swappable rather than fixed, so a voice that suits your market is a setting.
- Per-agent voice, language & interruption tuning
- Each agent carries its own voice, language behaviour and interruption sensitivity, so a calm wellness call and a brisk booking call are not the same agent with a different script.
- Phone numbers in 39 countries
- Numbers can be bought in the workspace across a 39-country catalogue, with the regulatory bundles those countries require.
- BYO Twilio & SIP/PBX trunks
- Bring your own Twilio account or connect a SIP trunk from the PBX you already run, rather than migrating your telephony to use an agent.
- SIP health probe
- Trunk health is probed rather than assumed, so a broken route is visible before a customer finds it.
