They commented. Now what?

Someone comments on your post and the automation answers publicly, then opens a private conversation with them. Instagram allows exactly one public reply and one private DM per comment, so the capabilities here are built around earning a response inside that budget — and around what happens once you have one.

PEPTIDE
Thanks for commenting! Peptide therapy covers a lot of ground, so here is the short version — and tap below and I will send you the full guide.
Send me the guide
Here it is: rejuvenation-guide.example/peptides — and if you would rather talk it through, you can book here.
The third message is the tap on a quick reply, and it is what opened the 24-hour window. A link button would not have: the link opens, nothing is opted in, and the conversation ends on the message before it.

Or just ask for it

You don’t have to open the automations screen.

Build it, check it, and change it from wherever you already are.

InboxPEPTIDE automation is live

When someone comments PEPTIDE on any post, reply publicly and DM them the guide after they tap.

Built and live. Fires on PEPTIDE across all posts, with three public replies that rotate. The guide sends after the tap rather than in the first DM — a link button would not open the messaging window.

4 so far. 3 got the DM; one was the same person commenting again on that post, so no second DM.6:02 PM

Paused. Comments still arrive, they just will not be answered — say the word and I will switch it back on.6:03 PM

Comment to DM
A matching comment gets a public reply under the post and a private DM to the person who wrote it. Both are sent within the single reply Instagram permits per comment, and the public reply rotates between variations you write so the account is not posting identical text under every comment.
Keyword triggers, scoped to the posts you choose
Fire on a keyword, on a list of keywords, or on any comment at all. Matching handles how people actually comment — punctuation, emoji, a mention of your handle, a "please" on the end — and can be tightened to an exact phrase or loosened to catch plurals and typos. Scope it to one post, to every post, or to the next post you publish.
Words that prevent a match
List words that stop an automation firing even when the keyword is present, so a keyword like BOOK does not answer "how do I cancel my booking". Exclusions are checked after the keyword and always win.
Follow-up after they respond
Instagram opens a messaging window only when the person answers, so the first DM asks for a tap rather than delivering a link. Everything after the tap — the payload, a follow-up, a nudge for people who did not open it — runs inside the window their response opened.
Email and phone capture
When someone replies with an email address or a phone number, it is pulled out of the message and attached to their contact record. A partial answer still saves what was given rather than discarding the whole reply.
Tagging the ones worth following up
A conversation can be labelled automatically once the person engages, so a warm lead is findable later instead of sitting among every other DM the account receives.
Hiding comments you do not want under your post
Comments matching rules you set are hidden from the post automatically. Useful on content that attracts spam or promotional replies, and it runs on the same comment stream the automations read.
An agent that keeps answering
When the automated sequence ends, the conversation hands to an AI agent with your knowledge base and your boundaries, so a question that was never scripted still gets a competent answer. It can be instructed to explain generally and decline specifics — which is what regulated practices need.
